The purchase of only the childcare business. When a prospective childcare operator purchases a business leasehold, a component of the purchase is the lease and right to occupy certain premises for the purpose of carrying out a childcare centre operation.
The business owner is a tenant of that property. Length of tenure will vary from site to site and does have a bearing on the value of the leasehold business. the rental amount due and payable will be expressed as an expense in the centre Profit and Loss statement.
